INVISALIGN
Invisalign uses a modern approach to straighten teeth. Rather than obvious, visible wires and brackets, Invisalign treatment uses a series of clear, customized, removable appliances called aligners. These aligners are nearly invisible, so most people will not even know you are undergoing treatment to straighten your teeth.
New technology. The Invisalign System improves orthodontic treatment by using advanced 3-D computer graphics technology and custom-made aligners designed to move your teeth in small steps. Each aligner, made of smooth, comfortable plastic, is worn for about two weeks and is precisely calibrated and manufactured to fit your mouth at each stage of treatment.The number of aligners in the series can be as few as 12 or as many as 48; treatment is based on your individual needs.
How to get started. Your first step is to visit Northside Orthodontics, and we will determine if Invisalign is the right choice for you. If it is, then we will create a precise treatment plan, mapping out the exact movement of your teeth, and send this information to Align Technology, the Invisalign company. They will use these instructions to manufacture your individualized sequence of aligners.
Wearing Invisalign. The aligners are worn throughout the day and can be taken out to eat, brush, and floss. Your teeth will move gradually, week by week, as each each aligner does its job and as you replace it with the next aligner in the series. You may also remove the aligners for special occasions when you want to look and feel your best.
